- I just got my new Rocky today, and I cannot get it to grind either. Beans are in it, I have it set to 8, 10, 12, 20, nothing comes out. The motor does turn on.- GuestDec 29, 2007
- For this hand-crank burr coffee grinder the problem occurs when using coffee beans with a high oil content; the beans do not push their way down through the grinder into the collection box below the grinder mechanism. I'm going to try the solution the Zassenhaus web site suggests -- grind some rice or grain to clean the burrs.- CA cookSolution #1

First check the water reservoir to make sure there is water in it. Second, check the filter basket to make sure it is not clogged. Coffee that is too fine or compressed too firmly will clog the basket. Lastly, check the showerhead, it may need cleaning.
