The coffee maker should be de-scaled every two months using a specifically designed product or 500ml of pure spirit vinegar. Do not forget to rinse the coffee maker (run clean water through the machine - as if making coffee, but without the grounds) once or twice before re-using.

i have a small badeeda bay and i dont know how to clean it properly. any suggestions?

Citric acid solution. Citric acid is used for canning and is available cheaply from co-ops, and at some pharmacies. It is an ingredient in Koolaid as well and is food safe. Mix up 10 grams per liter of water rinse for at least three cycles. a pound costs $5.00 or so and will last you for life even if you own and use three coffee machines.
