Question about HP LaserJet 1020 Printer

HP 1006 laser printer replace usb port

Printer was knocked off the desk by my cat. Now the printer port is loose and disconnected inside the printer housing. How do you remove the side of the case with all the controls? There's one screw for that side of the case and a tab that to keep it in place. I removed the screw but that side is still connected somehow... perhaps more hidden tabs. Cannot find a service manual online. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Frank

U will have to open the sides of the printer first to remove that.the sides r connected through screws and internal locks which sometimes get breaks while opening be care full.after that back plaste will come out easily and from there u can check out that usb housing connection.

My HP Laserjet 1020 powers on but now it's not recognized by my computer anymore. What happened & how can I get it to reconnect?

The solution to this problem is as simple as disconnecting your printer, going into CONTROL PANEL / PRINTERS AND SCANNERS, right click on the icon for your laser printer, then select "remove." Once you have removed the printer in the Control Panel, plug the printer back into your USB port, power it on, and it should plug & play from there.

Hooking up a Lexmark OPTRA E Printer to a Vista - USB Port

I do not believe that the Optra E is supported by Lexmark on Vista.

Not all products from the Optra family (if any) can meet the demands of that platform.

HP Desk Jet 842C printer - need cable

Hi Debbie,

You should be able to use this printer with a USB cable. You can pick up a USB cable just about anywhere that they sell computer or printer equipment. Just tell them you need a USB printer cable. This is a standard item and no further description is needed.

The Driver for this will probably be a native driver, and you probably wont have to download a new one, but just in case, here is the link for the driver directly from HP.

HP Laser Jet 1320n series

The HP LaserJet 1320 has a USB port and a Parallel port.

The HP LaserJet 1320n has a USB port and an Ethernet port.

USB-to-Parallel converter cables, like this one, are designed to attach a parallel device to a computer's USB port.

But you need to do the opposite (attach a USB device to a computer's parallel port). A USB-to-Parallel converter cable will not do this.

Mini USB disconnected inside HP all-in-one 2210v psc

You will have to take the printer apart and re-solder the usb connector to the board.
it was jerked out likely by moving the printer while it was attached to the cored or was tripped on.
it may not be an easy job to fix as you have to have several tools
and soldering skills,
you need a electronics nerd to help.
