Question about Amana AMV1162 Microwave Oven
Hi - when I started my Amana AMV1162 Radarange this morning, there was a pretty loud 2-3 second buzzing type noise that definitely seemed wrong, but then it kept going as usual, or so I thought. When I went to take the food out, I found cold oats and was very sad. My microwave was installed about 14 months ago. If you can help, that would be great.
When there's a loud buzz like that, it does not heat, and does not blow the fuse, it is usually a defective magnetron. Did it sound something like someone making a "gurgling" sound into a coffee cup? I think this has a a one-year warranty, with n five-year warranty covering the magnetron. You can find a local Amana-authorized servicer here: http://amana.com/amana/jsp/portalhttp.do?cs=0&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&NextPage=7
