Depending on your make. There are 2 places the manufacture puts heating elements.
1. The back panel of your dryer will come off. and it will be a long silver metal shell on the left side of the dryer.
2. The top of your dryer will come off and behind the drum there will be a large circular metal casing. it will about the size of the drum of the dryer.

Let me know if you need any more assistance with this problem.

Heaqt willnot work

The list of suspects usually invovles the heating element, the limit mounted on the heating element, the circuit breaker. The motor is a 120 volt one but the heater needs 240 volts. If the breaker is partially tripped the dryer could run but havee no heat. If the dryer cord id partially out of the recepticle the heat will not work. Make sure the dryer is getting 240 volts. I need to know what is the correct wireing for a amana dryer element model LEA30AW

There are two wires that run into the element. You cant mess it up if you have the right two wires. What wires do you have and the colors. Can they reach the element connectors. How many do you have?

Bad heating element, what side is it located left or right , from the rear view?

Need to know the make and model. However, make sure you unplug the machine before you get around that 220volt wiring. Once you remove the cabinet panel you should easily see the element.

Dryer run won't heat up took off back panel don't know which tube contain element. if that not the problem don't know where to locate thermal fuse i need pictures diagram illustration

Hi, if this is an electric dryer and is a whirlpool model, the element is located in a housing on the right side (looking at the back)
You can run the dryer and check with voltage meter to see if it is getting 240V. If there is voltage, replace the element. If there is not voltage, check the thermostats and the fuse for continuity. If they do not have continuity, replace them.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Heating element is getting red hot - like a heater.

No the first thing I would check is the vent going outside may be cloged the air going across the heating element should keep it from glowing real bright
