F1 showing on screen, however we don't have a manual and can't seem to stop it

Dishwash is actually F & P soft touch. We moved into the house recently and wasn't left any manuals. It was 1/2 way through a cycle when F1 came up and it keeps beeping. I tried pressing every button to no avail. Checked to see if anything was stuck and fixed a couple of possibilities but it hasn't fixed the problem.

I had the F1 symbol come up too. Try cleaning out the interior and then drying it out completely using a hair dryer. This is what I did and it's working fine now.

You should be able to find a user manual here: F1 is a flood warning. You might want to have a little poke around the bottom of the cabinet and see if there's anything that might have upset the flood switch. A.

Turn power on wall off and pull the cable out. Get the bottom drawer out from the housing and carefully rest it on soft padding like a cushion on the floor. Take towels and dry the base of the main housing. Take a hair dryer to do the rest. Put things back in.
Sometimes foaming due to too much detergent can also trip flood switch.

Flood switch 920 model

Not sure what the actual model number is but usually the F1 error with Fisher and Paykel dishwasher means water has entered the flood switch located at the base. This could be due to leaky hoses or water leaking through the door or lid seal. Wait for a day or two until the water evaporates and try again. Otherwise you will have to dry out the flood switch and then try again. Location of flood switch will depend on your model. For double drawer dishwasher you will have to take the bottom drawer out from the housing and the switch is on the floor of housing. But make sure you take the mains power chord out before touching the insides of dishwasher. Will also need to find the cause of the leak. Other reason for F1 could be loss of power to top dishdrawer if you have double drawer. But in that case the top drawer will have no lights on. The power board is located on the base of housing under bottom drawer. Once again do not touch inside of dishwasher without shutting off mains power.

How do i reset. F1 fault code is on. i fixed the flooding

then u havnt fixed it, if you fixed the flooding it should automatically stop showing the error if you have dryed the water from the base of the unit under the draw when u take it out and it still saying F1 then your mains filter board has been cooked as they use a small circuit board as the flood sensor with a little tab that sticks out to sense any water touching it if the leak was pretty major the machine may hav not been able to stop it before the board went under water, they have actually made upgraded filter boards with a gel coating over it to prevent such things from happeing

I have a fisher paykel soft touch dishwasher about 10 years old. The F1 message came on and we have taken out the inside filters and cleaned enitirely., Was working fine until it came on by itself during...

The flood sensor is located below the bottom drawer. If you take the bottom drawer out and there is water in the pan then the flood switch is probably tripped. Soak up the water with a towel and apply a hair dryer towards the rear left corner of the cabinet. The flood switch is part of the Mains Filter control board and should not be messed with (even with the dishwasher unplugged)... There is an underlying problem that caused the F1 fault and you should have a technician look at it.
