Hello and sorry to hear about your problem.

It sounds like your heater glow rod, is defective. This is the electronic pilot lite for the unit.

THIS IS A GAS PRODUCT, INCORRECT REPAIR CAN CAUSE A EXPLOSION, AND DEATH CAN OCCUR. IF YOU DO HAVE THE PROPER TOOLS SUCH AS MANOMETER AND LEAK DETECTORS, I SUGGEST YOU CONTACT A SERVICE COMPANY

been a heating and air guy for over 18 years and this could be several things... is this gas unit? i'm thinking the classic series was gas... anyway if so could be a flame sensor problem at the actually unit .. if this is a electric heater there are relays that bring the heating elements on and most of the time stage them in to avoid an electric surge all at once... you could have a problem with one of your fan sequencers and or part of heat actually be burned out.... good luck ... post more info if you need some more help be glad to assist you... acheatingunlimited texas

I have a Reddy Heater 70,000BTU without a thermostat. It will flare off and within a few seconds the fire goes out and then the it trips out. After a few tries it won't even flare off. What might be wrong?

hello. Your reddy heater is dirty and needs a good cleaning. Also, here are a few other possible reasons why it won't operate properly. Pressure not adjusted to 5.1 psi, dirty outlet filter, clogged inlet filter, bad or dirty photo cell, defective reset switch, pump going bad, dirty injector nozzle, dirty fuel filter, contaminated fuel. Check yours out and do what you can to address each area of concern. Regards, Joe

Hello I have a Unidare night store heater that

ive just bought a house with unidare night stoarge heaters and one of mine hasnt worked - i found something on a site that said this:

"My Unidare storage heaters have a fused link (may be the wrong term ) that melt ever few years. Are you able to unscrew the top of the unit and look ( all turned off etc ) -A Fused link looks like an inch long piece of 5 mm solder - if yours has melted it will probably be in silver balls/blobs - replacing is easy if you have got to them."

so this could be why they arent working...

at night set the input to high (6) and output to about 3...in the morning set the output to 2/3 so a bit of heat will be released when at work, and then when you come in set the output to 6 (max)....should work! ive only just learnt what to do but ive they arent great!

55,000 btu reddy heater. I turn it on and the tip does light and the fuel will spray for a second and the fan turns on but it will not stay on but for about 10 seconds. not sure whats wrong.

need to set the air pressure.you need to have a gauge to set it correctly.the heaters with glow bars do not work the same as old style.the flame has to be in the correct possition for the unit to work.
