I have an MP210 Canon printer.  It is saying E 3.  The alarm light is on.  When I try to print, it says there's a paper jam; there isn't.  Help?

I have the same sort of problem, when I turn it on it feeds the paper half way through then stops and feeds it back out again. It will not print and the red alarm light stays on. Suggestions anyone?

I have the same problem. I get the E3 (paper jam) error and there is no paper, large or small, visible anywhere that I can see. Is there a way to reset/clear the code?

Hi! have canon pixma mp210
i had the same problem E 3
and service button on
and B and C blinking(okay they are always blinking at my printer because i recharge it with syringe).

The cause of the problem was bad inserted paper -> paper jam

First i checked paper tray -> found a syringe fragment
opened the printer cover-> found a small peace of paper

but the printer was still blinking with E3 !

i began to disassemble the printer(be careful with a small secure part on the front side under control keys..i have broken this s it:) )
than i saw no other pieces of paper there.

i decrease the clips where the paper goes through(white plastic stuff) and put a sheet of paper there and started the printer again!

ps maybe it is better not to disassemble the printer and put in some way the paper between the rotating pulleys(because the printer had this paper jam and wants to have paper there to give it out)

I had this problem, i was convinced that there was no paper stuck in it, and in my frustration i ended up tilting it backwards and banging it on the table. i found a pen was lodged in the paper feeder. I was so relieved, until the error code was still flashing. then i stuck my hand down the paper feeder (take the paper out first) and found the smallest piece of paper stuck in it. try this.

i am so relieved.

E3 says there is a paper jam somewhere, could be a small scrap, or even a bent or broken sensor lever. Just have to inspect inside carefully.

I have a acanon pixma mp210.. amber alarm light

Error 5100 is Carriage error.Possible problems in:
- Carriage unit
- Timing **** strip film
- Logic board assembly
- Carriage motor
First, make sure there is no paper jam anywhere in the machine.. look inside, rear, where the paper tray (output) is, etc to see if you find any shreds or torn paper that may have gotten stuck and you didn't see.Look carefully in the zone of Purge unit, using flashlight in the right side on printer. If this not help your printer need service.

My canon printer pima mp210 the alarm button is on and cant get it off.... help

Check paper path (jam,or bit of paper), remove and reinstall the printer cartridges.

Also check to see if you have any print jobs "pending" and either run them or delete them and try again.

Remove the power cable from the printer for 5 minutes and connect it again.
