Neff B1641 not getting hot in any mode.
Removed top cover and checked out control module, and found that the relay for the heater eliments is not switching in.
Not sure what the nominal resistance of the thermocouple is but is giving about 540 Ohms (I am assuming it is a thermocouple on the square plug next to the heating element output.)
Anyone any ideas or resistance readings.
Cheers.
Steve.

I actually had the same problem and got the solution. Maybe its a bit late, but hopefully there will be somebody who find this useful as well.
Its not an error. The -5- indicates that the oven is "children protected".
- Put the left ON/OFF switch into its OFF position (the left switch)
- Turn it quickly 3 times: one click to the left and then one click back to right again [light position, Off position]
=> The message disappers.
If you do this again, the protection is switched on again.

Turn the right hand button onto the ECS symbol. This is the cleaning cycle. Make sure you put some soapy water in the 'well' at the bottom of the oven. The oven is then steam cleaned.

Eureka!!!!!! Done it!
Found a dry joint on the control unit. If you take the controller out of the oven and then remove the printed circuit boards, there are two boards soldered together- resolder all the little joints where the boards meet. This must be a common fault, as they look very flimsy and flex each time you push the buttons on the front display.
Obviously not to be undertaken unless you know a little bit about what you are doing!!!!
Don't forget to fully isolate the oven from the mains first. 240V.a.c is present on this board so beware! Torks drive screws are present- so you also need to have a Torks set.
Hope this helps someone out there.
Regards,
Steve.
P.S. These should have been called Naff Oven appliances rather than Neff!!!
