Question about Toaster Ovens

1 Answer

I have a Cuisinart Deluxe Brick Oven that beeps as it is heating up and continues to do so periodically. The thermostat doesn't seem to work at any temperature setting.

    Just bought this product and, yeah, it beeps constantly. And there is no mention anywhere in the manual that the thing even has a beeping feature. Whenever you try to bake something the beeping starts almost immediately and continues -- one beep about every couple seconds -- throughout the entire cycle. It's maddening!

    I really don't want to have to return this thing because the first couple pizzas my wife and I made in it were excellent, and had us looking forward to many more. As anyone else experiencing this problem knows, Googling it quickly reveals that it's very widespread. Looks like Cuisinart might want to just issue a massive recall.

    Starts beeping after I set it to bake. Usually within the first 2 minutes. Then I turn it off and on again and it happens again in a few minutes. Off and on again and then it works. Has been doing this for a few months. Still works, but is annoying, because you have to babysit the preheating.

Breville smart oven no heat or convection fan. LCD and controls working and can hear the oven clicking on.

The fan probably operated on the heat... I would tackle the THERMOSTATS, heat elements (at least 2) and/or fuse first.

My favorite supplier, appliancepartspros, struck out on Breville
(never-mind) I'll add a couple of credible ones at the bottom.

Sears parts is a good information source... but very pricey ($$$$) for the EXACT SAME PARTS you can get elsewhere...

If you can determine from your OWNERS papers which part you want to try first... get the operating parameters... and and check with a volt meter (ohms scale... power OFF)... for continuity on the FUSE, heaters & thermostat.

There is a possibility your control board (PCB) is at fault... it seems to be getting scarce... Turn it over and look for a burned/broken solder joint.

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/breville-bov800xl-smart-oven-parts-c-116052_116061_116092.html

In any case... get three prices...

In the event that PCB is the issue I do recommend LOOKING TO SEARS because of their parts support and warranty...

Good luck (finding the FUSE).

The level probe in the tank is probably caked with limescale or the probe is faulty

Heating units bottom stopped working. Then the top heating bars stopped working. It's a radiant oven.

it is several prosibilites for your problem:
1) the wire of the oven is damaged;
2) the thermostat is decalibrated or damaged;
3) one or more heating element is intrerupted or burned.
solution's:
1) check the wire an replace or repair where is posible whit similar heat resistant wire;
2) replace the thermostat whit similar one;
3) replace the heating element

Cuisinart Toaster Oven Broiler Not working properly

This is not a defect - it is just how the unit operates. You can set it to Broil, and the top element should not come on. Make sure the wire rack is turned upside down so that it curves inward and try one more time.

Lower heating eliments don't heat or glow. Only top ones work

The elements are not orderable, but you can call Cuisinart with your serial number - the product has a 3-year warranty, and that is definitely a defect - will they glow if you put them on Toaster setting?

Cuisinart toaster oven modele no.TOB-30BWC, serial no.50421.

The contacts for these toasters fail. The plasic cam that depresses the contacts also can melt. The design is poor and no replacement parts are available. When selecting a setting, if the selection is not exactly perfect, the contacts arc and eventually fail. Unless cuisinart changes the selection cam to a solid state or relay, this failure will continue to happen during normal use. If your unit works properly do not switch the function setting while heating, this will cause the contacts to arc and erode the contact surface. This posting is applicable to the TOB-30BC, TOB-30BCC and probably all TOB-30XXX models.

Toaster oven just stopped working...

With mine, the toaster function stopped working. The light lit, but the relay did not click. This happened about a year ago, but then it started working again. Now that my waranty expired, it seems permanent.

The relay requires 12V, but I only measure 5V (no audible click). When I pulled the relay, the drive went up to 12V, so the coil is loading down the source. Not sure whether the problem is the coil or the source. It would be nice to find a schematic. When I put the relay across a car battery, I heard the click indicating that the relay is working.

I cleaned the contacts, and get the same result.
