We have an Adler SE1000cd golfball typewriter and it will not type the letters to the right of the keyboard. We don't have a manual can you please help.

The question is a little confusing. If you mean the actual characters on the right side of the actual keyboard don't print, then you need a serviceman to fix it. If you mean it won't print on the right side of the carriage, then check that the platen is snapped in place, or that the carrier is not binding on the shaft (a little oil on the shaft and felt next to the body of the carrier). Hope this helps.

One of the linkage bars for the type bar is missing on my Royal KMM Typewriter

Depending on the size of the holes in the type bar you can make one from a thick paper clip or swap one from a little used key like ; or 1 (you can use lower case L) This isn't a perm. repair.

The key won't function

Rico,
You have to be a little more specific on your problem. First, what type or model of IBM typewriter is it? Second, which key won't function. The answers you provide will help in resolving your issues.

WE CHANGED THE DAISY WHEEL IN OUR MACHINE & WHEN YOU TYPE IT JUMPS SPACES & TYPES THE WRONG LETTERS

First, be sure you are using a Brother compatible daisywheel. Some other manufactures' daisywheels "look" the same but the charters are in different order, so they will not function properly.

After changing the daisywheel you need to d a reset. Hold down CODE and press "Q" the carriage will do a little dance and your machine should be good to go!

Typewriter won't type

There are a set of little rubber bumpers that control where everything rests. They usually turn to goo in a few years and need to be replaces. It usually takes no more than 15 minutes to replace them and they cost only a few cents each.

Brother ML100 Typewriter:All of the sudden, it just won't type. It seems the 'hammer' doesn't hit the daisywheel. We've replaced the daisywheel, corrective tape, ribbon and still it goes through the...

Ok,there could be two possibilities ,1, The daisy wheel may not be seated in properly. Of course I assume that the print side of the daisy wheel is facing the platen and that when the typewriter is switched on the print unit makes its customary re-setting motion and that the daisy wheel spins around at the same time. if this does not happen make sure that the lock-in lever for the daisy wheel is pushed home.. I am sure that you do all these elementary things so the only other possibility is the the hammer seleniod is not fully functioning and would have to be re-placed....Good luck!

Types wrong Characters

Does it always type the same wrong letter ie a always prints u or w ? if so the print wheel drive gear is out of position. if not and it get random letters some thing may be interfering with the wheel rotation.
