there is no actual unlocker for i-phone or i-pod touch but you could try to send the device to a apple service/store with the warranty and they will gladly unlock it for you. I don't reccomend agressive reinstalation of firmware because that might result in processor dammage!
well when you connect it to itunes it should ask you to unlock it or something like that, but sometimes when that happens the ipod knows your computer os not authorized or something like that. So try again, otherwise send it into apple. This has happend to my friends before and he plugged it in the computer and unlocked it so it might work for you, but if not as i said talk to apple
