How to setup print server model 1205Mf for xp and vista

Whatever the model is, or brand, I always prefer to ignore the printserver software and just ADD a TCP/IP Port.
Open Control Panel
Open Printers
Right-click: Server Proprieties
Add TCP/IP Port
put the IP address and select option "Print Server"
That's it.
now, just add the printer, manually select the port you've just created.

Cell phone Compatibility with BU-20

For information on setting up a Canon printer for bluetooth, go to this link. In the search window in the center of the screen, type "bluetooth" and click the Search button. Select the "how do I print directly from a PDA. . ." and you will find directions for setting up the printer. Note that your PDA or cell phone must be compatible with the OPP or BIP protocols. (Check the specs on your unit.)

Configuring a Mac Book Pro laptop with a DP 300U Print Server

I connected my HP5MP to the DP-300U LPT1 port.
I configured my port on the DLink Configuration tab, giving it a name "hp5"
...The default login is at user:admin pass:(there is no pass by default)

On my Mac, I go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
Click the + to add a new printer
Select the IP option
Choose the Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
Type in the Address:
Type in the Queue: hp5
Print Using: Generic PostScript Printer or better yet, 'Select a driver to use...'
and find the driver for your HP LaserJet 5MP.
Save it. Works like magic. ;-)

If you change the IP address or password on the DLink, just CYA and write it all down on a sticky note then tape the note under the DLink chassis. There's no reset button on the thing, and if you're o a Mac, you won't necessarily have access to the Windows utility to jack with the DP-300U. So, write it down, kidd-o!
