Re: medion laptop screen goes dark?
Shure 'nuff. Sounds like either the inverter or backlight. I would go for the inverter as that seems to be the more common item to fail, it usually is cheaper than the backlight, and easier to replace. If you need to directed to an online maint manual, let me know. Ron

I assume you mean "wi-fi" wireless access. The easy solution if wireless networking wasn't built in is to use a USB wireless adapter that simply plugs in to any USB connector on the laptop. These adaptors are available at retailers where you can buy computers as well as from many online sources. The adapter will come with any software and installation instructions you need.
Please take a moment to give this solution a fixya rating if it has been what you needed, and thanks for asking here!
this and my mouse have also stopped working, idk the problem but i fixed it once and whenever i wanted to turn it off i just put it into sleep and it worked fine when i started it up. i came to a situation where i had to restart the computer and it didnt work again and now i cant fix it.
I have found, depending on the update, that downloading them manually to your desktop, then installing them from there usally does the trick. Just write down the KB number of the update and go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx and download.
press the blue button botton left of the keyboard that says Fn (function)
at the same time press F1 this will enable the laptops wireless connection, this should be shown by the light 2nd from the right
