Tiger Direct has a number of pcmcia 802.11n cards as well as usb adapters starting at $20. If you go that way you can disable the mini-pci card through your device manager.

Can I upgrade acer aspire 5330-2339 processor

Would not be worth it with the speed gain, better off purchasing a better notebook.

Is this laptop equipped with wirless connection fromthe manufactorere or must it be purchased

Most late model Acer Aspire laptops have G or N WiFi included in the computer. My Acer 3680 series has it built in (G) and I added a D-Link N card to it to speed things up.

There should be a switch on the front or a Fn Button that turns on the WiFi.

Upgrade wifi sofware on gatway laptop lt3116h. bad internet connect on the main floor. how to upgrade software

Do you want to update your software or do you want to update your equipment? Updating your software would be just like applying an update to your WiFi software through the internet. Upgrading your equipment would be like buying a higher end or different ranged wireless card for your laptop. This would increase your capabilities of wireless internet coverage. You could also buy a better router if the "main floor's" wireless access point (router) is not that strong-signaled. It's not that hard to change your wireless card within your laptop. There's plenty of websites that you could find through google that could assist you with that. Just gotta be willing to strap out the cash. Good Luck!

Wireless connection away from home

Here is the service manual for your laptop. It is 20 mb, so give it time to download and then make a copy for yourself on the laptop for a reference. Your laptop is equiped with a tri-band wireless card with a built in antennae that actually wraps around the LCD display inside the bezel. The switch to turn the wireless radio on and off is on the right front of the laptop. It is just left of the right speaker grill. Your laptop is also equipped with a bluetooth card.

Want to download wireless internet to the system it is rum by windows 2003

What you need first is to install the wireless driver for your wireless card in your computer. If you don't have one you need to purchase a wireless card.
Then read the following info to decide what type of Internet access you require.

Wireless connections to the Internet can be achieved by several methods and it depends upon the method of delivery by the Internet Service Provider in your location.
The most common is by DSL and cable, the modems that are used with DSL and cable connection can have a built-in wireless router. Your computer will require a wireless card to connect to the modem/wireless router and the range is restricted to approx. 100 ft depending where the wireless router is located within the building.

The laptop's wireless card can be a built-in device or a plug-in device eg a PCMCIA card or a USB device. and these can also connect to a wifi hot spot in locations such as McDonalds. Star Bucks etc.

There is another method that can connect into the Internet that uses a USB wireless device that connects to a G3 network, bacically a type of mobile transmission and the device is locked into a specific Internet Service Provider. This method gives a wider mobile range (even across states) of connecting to the Internet but usually at a higher cost.

Basically you need to see what the Internet Service Providers offer in your location. Beware of the costs of the various plans they offer in broadband speed, their download limits and the penality for exceeding the limits etc.

When you decide which method you choose, you need to consider setting up your wireless network securely to prevent unauthorized access.

Upgrade for acer aspire 4315

Hi, best and fastest way to increase your laptop speed is upgrading RAM to 4 Gigs, using 2x2Gb RAM modules like this one (UK seller).
Adding a bigger hard drive won't increase laptop speed, but will give you more space to store your files.
Another way to speed up a computer is using CPU overclocking, but this operation, good on old computers, is not worth on a computer with new CPU like yours.
On you tube also some user posted videos on how to upgrade chips on motherboard of old Acer aspire, but I suggest not trying this, as risk to destroy laptop is very high, and it is generally not worth.
Better to stick with traditional upgrades.
