Try going into safe mode by hitting F8 upon startup. If it lets you get into safe mode then choose "Last Known Good Configuration" on the menu. If that does not work then let me know, there are a couple of other choices.

Disk boot failure is usually a sign that your operating system has become corrupt in some way.
If you've got your Windows disc, put that in the CD rom, then boot the computer.
There's a "repair" option that you can select, instead of re-installed Windows.
That *should* fix the problem.
It's also (thought unlikely) possible that your hard drive has died completely.

IF there more than One Hard Drive You must assign and master and a slave, If only one drive check connections again

sometime system restore wont work other solution might be to pop in your Xp or Vista cd assuming thats what you have.... and shut the Computer off and back on at start up during the first screen usually press F8 a couple times and select Option A and try the first option it gives you after that and continue down that list if it don't work then a reformat is the solution usually...
Press the "Enter" button.
Click "Launch Setup" when the Windows Setup page appears. When you click this choice and not the "Boot Legacy operating system" selection, you will not receive the "disk error" message any longer.
Adhere to the directions on your screen to finish the process of reinstallation.
hope this helps
