We lost power last night and the wii console is now not powering on

You probably had a power surge. Was the console plugged into a relatively new and reliable power strip, or was it plugged straight into the wall? If you don't have it on a surge protector, power surges can tear apart the internal components of your system. Unfortunately, there is really no easy repair for this. The easiest fix is probably just buying a new system.

Wii wont turn on, nothing had a lightning storm last night and now nothing

Try replacing the power cable, many times when there is a power surge and you do not have a surge protector it will burn out the transformer on the power cord. If you replace it and still nothing, most likely your Wii has been burned out by a power surge.

Had a storm in area and think a power surge hit my Wii console - now I can't turn it on

Your power supply / AC Adapter is probably gone. It usually takes the hit before the Wii. You can find one at the following website for $19 free shipping:

After a power outage, my wii will not turn on

You can try a new AC adapter. If that does not work,it will need to be repaired by a Nintendo authorized center.(I used to work at one).If you do by a new one PLEASE buy Nintendo brand. The "off" brands usually end up in some kind of problem down the road.
Good luck and agme on!

We had a storm and now the wii will not even turn on.

Was the Wii running while the storm was going on? Was it a lightning storm? If the answer is yes to eaither one of these then most likely there was a power surge and the power supply and / or motherboard has been damaged

My wii will not turn on

try syncing the wii and the remotes. there is a small red button on the wii covered by a small door. and as for the wii remote, there is a small red button where the batteries are located. hold them down for at least 10 seconds i would say and then try turning it on. good luck.

Storm last night, now Wii won't power up

Unplug everything! There is a "breaker" in the power supply and it may need to be reset. Just unplug all cables from the TV and outlets. Let it sit for a couple hours then plug everything back in and it should work fine. If not then the power supply has shorted out due to a strong power surge. You can claim it under your home owners insurance or call Nintendo and try to get it replaced. Thanks! Good luck and happy gaming!!

Wii

Salutations Bloopdinkle,

Do you know if your Wii is connected to a surge protector? You can get power surges at many times especially when the power goes out, or even comes back during a storm.

If you do have a surge protector connected you may want to see if your fuse needs to be reset. If not I don't think that the Wii's manufacture's would cover surge damage.

Sorry I didn't have happier news.
