I have my printer connected wirelessly and seem to have this problem on and off. I am currently unable to scan and cannot figure out why. All it says is No Scan Options. Refer to documentation. I cannot find anything helpful there either.

Could the both of you be a little more specific about the scenario?

    Questions I have:

    1. How are you scanning? Are you placing the document on the scanner and selecting the "scan to" button on the printer? Or the "Start Scan" Button?

    2. Or are you using the software to start the scan?

Please explain the scenario and where the message is returing from like the message console on the printer or as a popup on the software you are using.

I believe u have Vista. There is a known issue with Vista. The drivers in the Windows Vista operating system do not support button press functionality on the product. There is a workaround documented on the HP site. I had the same problem and this KB article helped me resolve it.

Cannot scan. It says " No Scan Options .Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot."

The main cause of the issue is that you haven't set the "Front Panel Destination list" in the HP software. As to scan from the printer, you should be able to scan from the hp software.
1st just open the hp software, it could be the Hp Director or Hp Solution Center.
2nd Click on the Settings - Scan settings - Scan to setup.
3rd add all the application availabe at the left side to the right side and then click apply and ok.
4th then turn off the printer as well the hp software.
5th Turn On the printer and try scanning.
Hope this will helps you.

Can't scan- Refer to device documentation to

Try using widows paint. Look in windows accessories off the start program menu. If you open windows paint, look for open file from "Scanner or Camera". Most likely you can get the scanner to work again in Vista. Otherwise...try Vuescan scanner software. I think you can get a free trial period online and it should also work. You'll have to pay for that if you like it.

you need an application software to scan a document first, install one from your manufacturer's CD and follw the direction carefully, or if your computer recognizes

go to start-program-accesories-then scanner and camera, see if your computer recognizes your scanner.
