Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

When printing some lines don't print properly-appears to be just the top half or less of the line will print. It seems it happens every 3rd or 4th line, but has done it on the second line also, so is not consistent. Or sometimes it prints these lines "faded" or smeared. My first guess was that it looks like the paper may be "skipping"

Try printing out the test page from the printer, this will show you if any of the inkjet holes are getting plugged. If you can't print a test page without the skipping try changing the ink cartridge(s), the test page will show you which one is clogging.

Not getting clear print , parts of lines faint or missed, hard to read copies, seems to be bottom half of line, every 4th line

ink low, dodgy ink, or head is wearing, blocked and cant get enough ink to paper, try with manufactures ink, but more than likly the head is block no easy fix, normally a write off, once in a blue moon after much effort one can clean the print head, total sttrip down and windex or metho the print head once removed but be prepaired to work on it for 1/2 a day, get covered in ink, with a good chance of getting nowhere...I'd try fresh ink then I'd quote you more than its cost..labour intesive..sorry

I would suggest you get a set of original HP cartridges .. I have clients trying to save $ all the time by buying refilled and/or refilling themselves to only go and get HP brand. Refills just don't cut it .. leaks, poor print quality, unrecognized cartridges .. there are so many things that I can point out .. save yourself the hassles .. get HP

try to clean the print heads of the ink cartridges. you can do it in the HP solution center. you can run it through all 3 tests so you make sure its clean. if it doesnt work after that, your ink cartidge level might be off, because i hear they never work half the time anyways. i would buy new ink if the cleaning the heads does not work. good luck!

Seems like a problem with the printer head...It is usual for matrix printers and it happens due to wear and tear..You will have to get the printing head to get replaced..
