Whirlpool washing machine really loud

If it is really loud and noisy when on spin it will almost certainly be worn or rusty bearings. Workshop job to dismantle and replace the parts.

you might get a clicking noise from the brushes but it wont be loud ( its metal on metal sound ) but bearings will sound like an aeroplane taking off ( very loud )

it's not normal for this to happen but you might have to get someone with a computer to reset it for you ask an engineer to check for you

you should never use bleach in any machine as it will damage your machine beond repair.and yes i think your spot on the main bearing is gone and needs replaced.adrian,,,,

it maybe come from over load m/c with clothes so
now it need bearings and seals

usually a noisy machine means either the main bearings have gone or the motor has got damaged/worn in some way. to check the main bearings try lifting the drum with the hand from inside or rotate the drum with the hand to see if the rumble can be felt. i cannot think what else would cause a loud humming though.
