Question about Adobe InDesign CS2 for PC
The actual message is The network connection for the file (name) or the file was modified by another process. Then Indesign shuts down. It happens randomly so there is no common reason for it to sut down. It is a PC. The program has been installed for about three years and this is the first this has happened.
Solution for amanda8923. I just recently started having this same problem. A google search revealed incompatibility issues with indesigncs2 and windows xpsp3! Here is the link:

You are either:
1. Using symbols like "/" in the filename
2. Or doing what I was doing which was trying to save the file in an (accidentally) locked folder. To fix this - right click on the folder and get info - open up sharing and permissions and make sure that your username has full read write access. I also clicked on the settings cog button and applied this setting to everything in the contents of the folder. The folder had somehow corrupted during a network transfer and this is what was making inDesign not play ball.
