My Canon copier, Model IR 400s, Shows the error code : E 604. What is the problem ? How can I Solve it ?

Problem :
E604 Error Code. You followed all the troubleshooting steps in the service manual and still have an E604 code.

Solution :
Check the Image Server Memory or the Image Processor PCB. The recommended Image Sever Memory should be Kingston 32MB, 144 pin EDO Module, 64 Bit, 60 nanoseconds, No Parity.

Its a RAM/Expandable Memory error, try reseating the memory. If issue is still present replace the memory.

This is an error on your Copiers memory,hard drive or the main controller board.Any of this may need changing.Have it checked.

Error code : E 604 of Canon IR 400

It means that you are having a problem with the hard drive boot up program... You will need to replace the hard drive.
