Question about Sharp LC-37D4U 37 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

Set up only visible for 2 seconds, then black - Aquous lc-37d43u

Screen set up comes on briefly then goes black.

Same thing happens each time we power on. I turn on the power, picture and sound will last for 2-3 minutes and then turn off. The power light will flash twice as well as the OCP light, then the OCP light flashes 5 times and then returns to the power light flashing. Can I repair this.

Unfortunately I can promise you that you CANNOT repair this. Your power and opc lights coming on, but the tv is not coming on. That is a issue within the tv. Give sharp a call and they will have somebody come fix your tv free of charge, if they cant fix it, they will replace it for free. That is the only thing you can do. Sorry bro

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-37d43u and when I turn the power on the picture and input show up for a second then the whole screen goes black. Any thoughts?

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

How do i change the time on my sharp aquous

If you do not have the owners manual GOOGLE the model number with manual after it.

Search thru the on screen menu and when you find time adjust it with the Original remote control for the set (universal will not do it)

Ok try this, at boot up press F8, when the Menu comes up, choose Safe Mode, but this time instead of going to the desktop, choose System Restore, follow instructions, and when the Calender type window comes up, simply choose a time BEFORE, the time it went faulty. This should completely restore you to working again. As long as there are NO other problems.
