Question about Microwave Ovens
When I use my mwave, the casing is getting hot each time. Today, I used it for about 7 mins and the case was very hot. It took a good while to cool down, even though unplugged. Are you able to help please?

The most likely causes are an open thermostat on your magnetron or the internal fuse. You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your base model number (without the suffix) here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383 The fuse is shown on diagram 5 and the thermostat on the magnetron is on diagram 8. Did you happen to spray any cleaner directly onto the keypad? Hope not. Just wanted to exclude that poissibility to save time.
Assuming this model does not have a feature allowing you to turn off the turntable via the control panel, the motor msay be failing. Or you may have a bad door switch.

SOURCE: microwave gets very hot on
If it gets hot enough were it is uncoftable to lay your hand on it then there is most likely a problem. If it is a new unit I beleive I would return it. Good luck.

If the turntable is not turning, you will get hot spots and uneven heating.
You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.
If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.
To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.
You can get Samsung parts here.
