Ok there could be more problem
first someone could push mute button from the remont control
2 your sound could be at low level from remonte control
3 your speaker was broke and must be replaced
or someone plug some jack in the headset socket

Sound suddenly went out on Polaroid FLM 3232...

I also had this problem with the sound suddenly going out. After spending hours determining that it was not caused by my cable box, and unlocking volume codes and such, I took someone else's advice and hooked up a cheap surround sound speaker system through the audio ports on the back. Now I have sound for my tv, and it even sounds better than when the tv sound was working.
