Go to the link below and download & install the latest Bios for your system. I realize that your board is a D915PWK and not a D915PBL, but it should work just fine because the whole Product line of Intel 915 Express Chipset Family Boards use the same Bios for all of their boards and yours is in that product line.

SOURCE: Requared bios updated versin for foxconn 865gv chipset mother board

Hi, I run a foxconn mobo myself and yes its a great board. But dont go to the foxconn site looking for downloads. instead go to the VIA site they make the chips and you will get more sense there. If all else fails Foxconn do have a "Contact us " link on their home page. This will give you the company email address and you could request directions to the update site there, the only trouble is it could take weeks to get a response. Regards mistyman

What is the highest Pentium D Processor that the revision of my motherboard (aad35788-305 cpu) will take?

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d101ggc/sb/CS-025906.htm?wapkw=d101ggc

With all due respect; You posted a link to CPU Support for that motherboard.

Intel D101GGC

Intel Pentium D, model 805; or Intel Pentium D, model 825?
See the BIOS Version?
0304 or higher.

See the BIOS Version listed for better Intel Pentium D CPU's?
0312 or higher.

Point?
BIOS upgrade to BIOS 0312, or higher.

Better than your Intel Pentium D, model 805 you have now?
The Intel Pentium D 820 uses the same BIOS revision.

I want to the bios intel motherboard d845PEBT2 place sent me

First be clear, do you want to update your BIOS & if so then go through this first: To identify your current BIOS version, check the BIOS version string:
  1. During boot, enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2.
  2. Check the Main menu.
  3. The 4-digit number after the '86A' or '86I' is the current BIOS version, as in this example: MQ96510H.86A.1663.2007.0319.1957
  4. Press Escape to exit BIOS Setup.
Important:
  • Update the BIOS on your computer only if the newer BIOS version specifically solves a problem you have. We do not recommend BIOS updates for computers that do not need it. You can view all new BIOS fixes in the Release Notes included on the BIOS download page in Download Center.
  • Before initiating a BIOS update, be sure to read and precisely follow the update instructions. You may wish to print the instructions for easy reference.
  • If a BIOS update process is interrupted, your computer may not function properly. We recommend the process be done in an environment with a steady power supply (preferably with UPS).
  • All images in the examples used in the instructions are specific to certain desktop boards and are for illustration purposes only. You need to select the correct BIOS files for your desktop board.
There are up to six methods of updating an Intel® Desktop Board BIOS to the latest version. The number of options made available for any particular board may vary, depending on drive support and BIOS update file size. You only need to use one.

All BIOS update files for Intel® Desktop Boards are available on Intel(link: http://mysearch.intel.com/corporate/default.aspx?culture=en_US&q=d845PEBT2&category=all&adv=0&value=0&searchsubmit.x=30&searchsubmit.y=12).
If simply want to clear the BIOS then either remove the small battery on the MB, wait for a couple of minutes and replace it. Else close to the BIOS chip look for a 3 pin setup on the mother boar with a jumper on two pins Remove the jumper, wait for 10-20 seconds & replace it. That will clear the BIOS.
A word of caution, do not update the BIOS if your PC is working properly. Do it when prompted to,during installing a new software or hardware this message will pop up on the screen.................sodeep

update ur BIOS version, but note this----BIOS upgradation is very risky task, because during update process power failure will result the abortion of ur motherboard. So do it with experts if u are a rookie.

SE440BX-2 BASEBOARD-WANT TO INCREASE HARD DRIVE SIZE.

You may need to update the BIOS. When first booting press F2 to enter your current bios. The latest bios for your motherboard is version P17. Also if you see a number with an "86A" in it, the number after that number should be "0024". The bios dated 9/1/2000 is the latest version.

If you decide to update the bios, be _very careful_ to follow all instructions exactly, otherwise you can render your computer useless.

While you are in the bios, and before you try updating the BIOS, check your IDE configuration to make sure that the IDE controller is set to "both." Also in the primary IDE master submenu, be sure that "LBA Mode Control" is set to "enabled." When exiting the bios, if you made any changes described above, be sure to select "save on exit" or similar. Re-boot and try the new drive.

Here's the update website from *********** board.

Intel express bios update error

It sounds like you have a corrupt or wrong bios update version. If the bios update you are trying to flash is not to resolve a problem you are currently trying to overcome, it would be wise to leave it alone. Be careful or you may render your bios completely unusuable.

Windows 200o pinstallation problem on intel 945 motherboard

I think that this can be bypassed on a per boot basis (press F7) on the boot where it asks you to press f8 if there is any problems. (before win2k flash screen)

you can get round this by updating your motherboard's BIOS

To upgrade your bios you need to follow the online instructions carefully.  (mis flashing your BIOS  can stop your board from loading at all)

FOR BOARD D945GCZ!!! WARNING  IF THIS IS NOT YOUR BOARD DO NOT CONTINUE AS THE FILES WILL BE WRONG!!!!

To upgrade to the latest bios  you first need to upgrade to ver 1788 (you cannot go direct to the latest version.. if your current BIOS Version is already 1788 you can skip this

please read and follow the instructions on this page http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=N&Inst=Yes&ProductID=2063&DwnldID=9165&strOSs=19&OSFullName=Windows*+2000&lang=eng
one this is completed you can upgrade to the latest version here
