Question about Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Notebook
I have had my Lenovo laptop for just over a year now. I think perhaps a few months after I got it, once in a while, the keyboard would suddenly just stop working. This happens in phases - sometimes twice a week, and sometimes nothing for a few months.
When this happens the mouse still works, but nothing on the keyboard at all. I wonder if I am pressing a keyboard lock button by accident?
Anytime this happens I just reboot, and it's fine - it's just really annoying if I'm in the middle of something.
Myra My keyboard is locked. An external keyboard also fails to work.
The function keys for things like screen brightness work fine, Fn F5 brings up the wireless config window, etc... So the keyboard is actually working, but the laptop is not accepting input from it.
The mouse works sometimes, and not others.
No notable changes were made, and rebooting does not fix it.
The machine is used for editing text files, exchanging email, and other light duty tasks.
Rebooting the machine does not fix it.
Remote desktop works, so I can log in and use my files and software, but I eventually need to unlock the stupid keyboard.
