Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

No screen, sound, dropped

I dropped my phone and both the back cover and battery came out. I put it all back in and recharged it and the only thing that came on the screen was the "Charging Battery" message, then it went black again. My husband tried calling my phone and it went straight to voicemail.

Help!

I let the battery completely run out. When I recharged it, the phone would not turn on. All it says now is "Charge complete" which is what it usually says when its done charging. IT JUST WONT TURN ON! Please help :)

Try a new battery if that does not work you will need to take the phone to a mobile servic center and have them flash the erom back into the phone.

jkyl - take the phone to a repair center and have them check the phone for you.

Take out the battery to prevent damage to it, and put the cover back on. Put in in a bag filled with DRY rice, the rice will suck the moisture out of it (over a few days)

If you have insurance on the phone I would go for the easy way first. They usually ship within 24 hours and you are back in business. If you don't have insurance, the only thing you can do is gently open the cellphone by popping open the cover.......gently. Take a hairdryer on low speed and low heat and try to dry the inside of the phone. Let it sit for a couple days after drying. Put the cover back on and try it again. Dry the battery as well,DO NOT open the battery! Bottom line, you may be looking at a new phone. The insurance route if applicable, is the way to go. At least you know its a new. Hope this helps.

I have an lg chocolate touch 8575 and the touch screen wigs Out and does whatever it wants to do. I've pulled the battery And that didn't help. Any suggestions?

umm yeah i have the same phone as you, and my phone does the exact same thing. Except now the screen isnt working at all. I know this is weird sounding, but when my screen doesnt work, i always just dropped it and then it would go back to normal. Of course i have a phone cover on mine so it wont break or anything and i only drop it from a small height, nothin to big. I hope this helps, but i would not recomend this if your phone doesnt have a cover.

Water

Sometimes when electronics are dropped in water, you can still use the. Circut boards have a silicon coat over the circut boards for instances like this. Depending on how long it was in the water, you may be able to still use it. Let the phone dry out for about 24 hrs (take out battery and back cover) then try to replace the battery and start it back up. If it doesnt turn on the circuts were affected and it broken.

Black screen on inside and outside has not been dropped may have water damage from water on my hands

try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

remove the LCD display cover, you will see a little silver (small tiny magnetic) looks like a watch battery. take it out, and put it back in again, and remove the LCD display plug, and put it back in again. Should work, make sure remove the battery first.
