Arris TM502G is cutting out when d/l heavy bandwidth.

Three things in the system. Modem, router, computer/xbox. You changed the router and problem still exists. The computer/xbox is calling for the data but the modem is stopping it even though your provider doesn't see it stop. Change the modem. Borrow one if you can but I suspect it is going glitchy.

When i plug my Zoom 5241 Modem in all lights come on the go off and nothing works... It just started yesterday and i have had it for 3 years and nothing has changed in the network... Is it dead?

Well it might be dead - try these two steps:

1. Unplug the modem and leave it unplugged for at least a minute, then plug it back in.
2. If that does no good, try the RESET button on the back, using a paper clip or pen point. The reset will probably only work while the lights are still on - so try to press in the button pretty quick.

Thanks - Sam

Internet light is not on

Hi Thanks for your question.
If you are able to access internet when using it you have nothing to worry about. To make sure it's only led restart your modem by disconnecting from mains and waiting about 30 sec. When you connect it back at some point all of led's should be on. If internet one don't come on at any point it's only faulty light and you have nothing to worry about.
Please do not hesitate to ask more questions. Fixya team is hear for you. Thanks

Internet connection

1. Power off the modem. 2.Restart your computer. Allow the system to stabilise and switch on the modem after about 10mins. Check for connection. If nothing happened after all this, then go to Device Manager and scroll down to Modem. Click the plus sign and lookup for that particular make. It may be disabled. If disabled, simply right click and select Enable and wait for about 5mins to login. Good luck

The computer has nothing to do with the modem, the reason for these getting hot is because the use resisters and capacitors and there is no fan to cool these off, Solutions are keep room cool, modem free of dust and debris, and last but not leaast rest assured this has nothing to do with your cpu geeting hot.
