Does the 510 reciever have enough power to drive 2 100watt 8 ohm floor speakers LOUDLY?

no doubt it will do it,even with four of them but your receiver will get hot depending of the length of playing,go to your sound field selection, put it onto ( multi st. ),increase your front and rear speaker level to 10.0 ,in the selections put your front and rear speaker size to large and u enjoy your product,i got four 140w pure acoustics speakers onto the receiver and it plays perfect

Trying to hook up 2 Hi Fi speakers to a reciever

Red left to Red left speaker
Black left to Black left speaker

then repeat for right speaker

turn on amp play somthing quite to start, check all is working. To check speakers are in phase play a bit louder and stand exactly in middle, bass should be defined and central, it helps to close eyes and listen. If not central and defined change over Red and Black on one side only then listen again with the same test.

Start flat with eq section adjust as you like when listening to something you know and like.

After all is working ok then make it louder.

Sorted!

Yamaha stereo only works on Pure Direct

It sounds to me like an audio enhancement filter is malfunctioning. The pure direct on / off is a sound filter to alter the sound performance of the receiver. There is a rare possibility that there is something wrong with one of your speakers- causing certain circuits in the receiver to malfunction. A way to check for this is to connect only one speaker and an audio source. test each channel first(without pure direct) by connecting the speaker to a channel and then disconnecting it, and connecting it to a different channel repetedly, until you have gone through all of the channels. If you really wanted to pinpoint such an anomaly, then you would need to do it with every speaker through all of the channels to make cetain that this is not the case. But then again this is not very likely. I would personally just use the mode that seems to work, because something is obviously malfunctioning, or possibly burned out. And repairing it is most likely costly! I hope that you can get something out of my answer! sorry! Good Luck!

I have 'Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere', (gift at Christmas). AC adapter ('switching power supply') Model ER7028EU no longer charges the base unit battery. Is there a known problem with this item...

If you contact the apple store, they can provide you with the phone number for Logitech. They will ask you to post proof of purchase to them and you will recieve a complete new model. We had exactly the same problem and followed the above process.

Good luck

Hi I have a Harman Karden AVR 130 and the problem im having with it is every time i listen to music or watch movie it turns it self off and message pops up "PROTECT" I know some thing is being...

You should be able to contact Harman Karden directly on this one. If you don't see an obvious issue such as speaker wires shorting out against each other or otherwise then contact them. As long as your product is under a manufacturers warranty they should take care of ya;regardless if the store you bought it from isn't around anymore or not.
