Question about Dual Electronics CECT P168 Cellular Phone
When you plug the charger into the phone it doesn't recgonise that the charger is plugged in and so won't charge
The I9 battery charger is th problem. There is a small tab on the bottom edge of the batery that allow it to clip in the phone. This tab prevents the battery from going all the way into the charger which causes a missalignment with the contacts and due to the contacts being very thin they tend to break off. If this happens you must use the USB cable to charge the phone, it plugs in under the charger. If your contacts are good you can take a thin knife and ease the tab over the edge of the plastic lip on the charger alowing the battery to seat correctly in the charger making the proper connection.

The issue is with the wall usb ac adapter just replace it (with a better quality one) and it should work, you can also charge the phone using your computer. Well... this fix worked for me.

The problem is the "intelligent" charger...
I9 as the same problem as LACROSS battery charger. While the battery is too low, the charger dont see it and dont even try to charge it.
The way to make charge with low battery is to:
- remove i9 battery cover(let the battery into the i9 phone)
- plug usb cable to i9(i9 is not able to charge the battery right now)
- connect, in parallel of the i9 battery, 3 AA battery (serial) for few second until the charger see the battery.
Then the charger will see the battery and will charge it (You will see the i9 display showing a battery).

The w800i battery does work fine, its nothing to do with the cables, the only problem with the w800 battyer as its about a 1 or 2mm long so you may have to shave the battery down if poss or the inside of phone

I had the same problem as well
but i realized since the taps are the one's preventing the battery to fully go in.
that maybe if i tried the metal parts jus connecting that to the charger's metal, perhaps it could work.
And it did. the only problem is
you must have the charger upside down on the power outlet
so it will stay in place. since the battery isn't fully in, as it must be slanted. It might get frustrating to get it to stay, but it'll end up charging
