Question about Philips Magnavox 50ML8105D 50" HDTV DLP TV

Turntable does not work for my 1970 style magnavox stereo

I have a 1970 Magnavox cabinet stereo - the turntable does not go around at all. Any suggestions. I also do not have a manual where I maybe able to purchase parts.

    i have alot the same problem, my problem is the bass and loudness pots are also messed up... any suggestions for this?

SOURCE: I have a Magnavox Micromatic stero console and

Record Town in Fort Worth has them. They are at 3025 S University Dr 817-926-1331. He has a couple on order for me now. His name is Sumpter. They have been in business there since 1949.

I might try radio shack for a belt, and if you here a motor run but table doesnt turn, that is probably what you need to replace. many of these can be lifted out of the cabinet enough to get to things

Magnavox Model 2P3602 - Turntable will not turn


This is a DIRECT DRIVE turntable (no belts) you are going to have to replace the drive motor (if you can find one!)

Magnavox Console Stereo turntable does not turn at correct speed


I'm in Nashville, where can I have my 70"s Magnavox stereo console serviced to get bugs out of it as well as get new cartridges?

Magnavox Stylus


We need to know the model number of the CARTRIDGE itself. Doesn't matter what turntable you have. All that matters is what cartridge is mounted on the turntable, so that we can match the correct stylus. The stylus/needle connects to the Cartridge:

As the diagram shows, the stylus mounts to the cartridge, which then mounts to the headshell. This headshell is then connected to the tonearm (tube).

So, if you look at the cartridge you should be able to see the model number. If not, there is no way to match up the stylus, as ther are literally THOUSANDS of styli on the market. I would suggest purchasing a NEW cartridge/stylus combination. The following should fit your model:
