Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
Good! At last we know that power is getting to the machine. You could still have an internal power problem, motherboard problem,Display problem or something else could be hanging thing up.
First I would power it down, remove the battery, press and hold the power on button for 30-45 seconds. Then do not put the battery back in yet. Just connect the power cord and try to bring it back up.
One thing that I would suggest is to try an external monitor if possible to see if you get anything on it.
Another thing to try is to remove and reinsert the memory module(s), remove the HD, any PCMCIA cards, flash drive, etc. See if doing this gets anything on the display.
After you do these things, get back to me and we'll go from there.
