Question about D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310)
I have a Lan Connection from the above router to my desktop computer and a wireless con. to my lap top. The desktop cannot receive Internet but the lap top via the radio con. does.
First of all I am interested to see the output of this on both machines:
In the Black box type:
I would like to see this information if you could be so kind.
You need to check your TCP/IP Settings to make sure they are both set to DHCP which will make it receive a Dynamic IP Address. Also it should set the gateway address for you but you may need to specify the correct addresses for IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS to ensure immediate access to the internet. Most likely you are in this range but I could be wrong:
DNS Depends on your ISP but you can find out the information by logging into your router for instance:
http://192.168.1.1 will get you to your router if
your IP one of your clients is 192.168.1.*

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Title: Can not access internet by other laptop
?· Open control Panel and go to Network and Internet Connection.
?· Open it and select Network Connection
?· After that you see your networks , select and Right Click on it and go to Advance Tab
?· In Advance tab you just see a option like "Allow me to share my network"
?· Click on that option , apply and ok
After that 1 dektop connected with another by LAN and Laptop connected with 2nd desktop By use of LAN cable
it call Series Connection.Like--1st desktop--->2nd Desktop--->Laptop
Otherwise Bring a HUB and You can access internet
Now you can access internet on both laptops

Bluetooth is not WiFi, they are two seperate technologies.
you need a Wireless adapter 802.11b/g for your laptop,
you would connect the two to each other using an adhoc connection,
If you had a wireless router for your internet you could connect directly to the router, (and then you would not have to have your main computer on for you to access the internet.
BTW if your Main machine is near your phone point (for internet connection) you would not need a wireless card for your pc, as you could connect via LAN cable to the wireless router (make sure you get one with lan ports)
