Question about Nokia 5310 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

I have a received file on my Nokia 5310, that I would like to load onto my pc. The problem is that I am being sent a message that the file is too large, to send. The message says the maximum message size is exceeded by 573 kb. Any help in getting this file transferred to the computer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your best bet is to use the USB cable to upload it to your PC. When you plug the cable to the phone, it should prompt for either Data Storage, PC suite or Music Sync.
If the file you want is on the phone memory, copy it to the memory card.
Then, on your phone, go to Menu, Settings, Connectivity, USB, select Data Storage.
Connect your phone to the PC. Then, go to "My Computer", click on the one that says "removable memory or removable device"....
Go to the folder in which the file is stored. click and drag to your desktop and its done!!

My nokia 5310 cant connect to the internet.and everytime i register to gprs,it appears handset not compatible..helpme plz..

First of all , the gprs settings for your Nokia 5310 should be sent by the operator itself . You should contact the operator and ask how to do that . That is how to do that and not configure it by yourself . ! For example here in my country my i have to send a message contains the type of my cellphone to a certain number and few seconds i'll recieve a message that tells me that in muments i'll recieve a message contains the settings of my phone and i should save them and make them as the default settings to acces the internet by my mobile a browser or other cellphone browsers .

Email set up

Push Email (0.0)
There is no support for push email where an email is received as soon as it arrives at your account.
Multiple Email Accounts (0.0)
The built in java client does support multiple email accounts, however we are not awarding points for the client due to the connectivity requirement.
HTML and Attachments (0.0)
The Nokia 5310's email program does not support HTML emails and does not allow you to view attachments.
Email Customizations (0.0)
There are no email customization options on the 5310's java client for email.
Time to a New Email Message (0.0)
We did not do this test as we are not awarding points for the 5310's email program. See above for more information.
Email Usability (0.0)
We are not awarding points, as explained above.
Instant Messaging (0.0)
The Nokia 5310 supports IM on AIM, ICQ, Windows Live and Yahoo messenger services. Unfortunately, you are charged for a text message for each instant message sent or received. This may be okay if you don't have a data plan, but if you do, we don't think it's fair for carriers to charge you extra for data services when you are already paying for an unlimited plan. On top of that, text message rates are outrageously expensive, and as such we don't award points for instant messaging services that use text message gateways. If you absolutely need to use the IM client, we recommend that you get an unlimited texting plan.
