Networking Drivers And Utilities Can Be Found Under "Network-Driver"
Go to device manager (Right click my computer , properties , hardware , device manager) and check for any devices listed with a yellow ! next to them
Download and install the wireless driver or alternatively right click the device with the yellow ! and click update driver. The wizard then guides you through the steps of searching for and installing the correct wireless Lan driver.
When finished , check to see if the connection has appeared , either at the bottom near the clock or in the network connections area (access from control panel)
If yes - Problem Solved!
If no - Download the Correct wireless lan utility from the link above that corresponds with the driver you downloaded.
install the utility and load it to see if it detects any wireless points
There is a mechanical problem with the R3000 buttons, (especially the wireless button) where they seem to push fine but are in fact failing to make electrical contact. I know of two work-arounds.
* Try pushing the button with a capped pen, gently at first, and then with increasing pressure. (Not so hard you break the plastic, please!) I suspect this gives the buttons just enough extra "oomph" that contact is established.
OR
* Push up on the battery compartment while pressing the buttons. If the battery is in, you can acheive this same effect by putting your laptop on a table and popping up the screen, then applying downwards pressure on that corner of the laptop body while pushing the button. I suspect this aligns things properly so that the button is able to depress just a hair further.
You may even find that these actions "loosen things up" enough to cause the buttons to work like new for a little while. I hope this works for anyone reading this!
