Power down (shut down) and then remove battery for a few seconds.
This fixed my CineDash Media console.

You should be able to plug an external keyboard into this model, and unless you have experience in this area, you should have a technician replace the keyboard.
You can attempt to replace the keyboard, but there is a high risk of damage to the unit.
Place the unit upside down.
With the battery facing you.
You must then carefully remove and keep in safe place the following screws. Remove the screws behind, under and the ones just to the left and right of the battery.
BE CAREFULL and document where each screw comes from, and store them carefully for replacement, as they are different lengths. You will need to place them back in the exact holes they came from or it will cause damage to the unit.
Slide off the hinge caps
Carefully turn unit over and place in an open position. ( like if you are using the keyboard)
Lift the keyboard cover up and towards you gently and just a small amount. As you are lifting it toward you,you should be able to slide it right out.
There are two cables on the middle cover that must not be disconnected.

but check whether you have connected the jack to mic port (usually the pink )....if it is ok...
next go to start | run | type "mmsys.cpl"
it will bring you the audio options...
go to voice option .....
choose your device....
and click the test hardware....
and also do not forget to check whether the main volume is on or not....
this should solve your problem
