Faded ipod screen

I have a 4gb ipod nano and the screen has suddenly faded? the backlight is fine but the text has lost its blackness. any ideas why?

Go to settings. then click brightness to make sure it's on the number you want. If that does not work charge your ipod

The light is out but the player still works. Any suggestions?


the LCD can be replace for probably around 40.00
but also go into settings and check the backlight timer. set it to 2seconds and see if the backlight comes on.

and try to unplug and replug the 4gb nano.

MY ipod nano 4GB silver has a white sreen and i cant see anything


my friend bought me a ipod for me ... it works nicely for nearly nine months but suddenly wen i connected my ipod with my handsfree everything was fine but all content was lost that i stored in ipod so i doubtly connected to my pc ..it shows everything that wat all previously stored in ipod even i can play but wen i disconnected my ipod again it shows no music no videos and no photos but the space was occupied .....

To user VIVS919, even though you lost the reciept you can call apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) They should replace your iPod under warranty. {Just don't admit to any "accidental" damage}

Same thing happened to me...apparently it is a big defect with the ipod nanos.....Call Apple & they will replace it in 5-7 days.

you try to plug it on ur pc then check its status on itunes application, i think theres a function there to check its status,repair your ipod.
