Try to download and install new motherboard drivers and check for virus...intel and nokia have been too commonly bought that they are not really checking for product defects..and i also hope that your motherboard got 3 years warrent..if its still there then take it back where you bought it and ask to check for problems or send it to intel..repair or exchange will be free..i hope..now a days there are too much cheats cant trust anyone...

Asus Eee PC 1001p display black

Unplugged all the external device. Like external harddrive,Pendrive,Camera anything. And restart the computer in safe mode with networking. If it is working on safe mode you need to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers in order to fix the issue.

When booting the cp is going to power saving mode

Unplug power sources for the monitor and computer.

Hold down the power button of the computer tower for 10 seconds, this will drain remaining from the motherboard.

Plug back in the power sources for the monitor and computer tower.

Power on the monitor first, make sure the monitor power button will turn green then amber.

Power on the computer tower.

Try to check if you were able to see the Dell blue logo just right after you power on the computer.

If you were able to see the Dell blue logo then do these steps:

1. Turn off computer then turn it back on then immediately keep tapping on the F8 key. If options will appear please select safe mode.

2. If you were able to access in safe mode the problem we have is the video card driver needs to be uninstall then reinstall. To uninstall/reinstall the video card driver. Once you access the safe mode go to device manager then uninstall the display driver. Reinstall the display driver using the CD drivers came with the computer.

3. If you were not able to access safe mode then try again step 1, when you reach the option screen then select "last known good configuration".

If all fails from these steps, back up your HD files by asking a local tech to use an enclosure to copy all your data from your HDD to a different storage cause this will end up reinstalling the windows operating system.

Just in case just right after you power on the computer and it immediately gave you the message entering powe safe mode then you need to re-seat the video card which needs to open the side cover of your computer.

Re-seating the video card ut's just like taking it out from the slot then put it back again, make sure it's properly seated.

When opening my unit the display in the monitor is "signal input out of range".

Hi there,
The problem could be because the resolution set for your operating system is not supported by your monitor.
If that's the case you would have to go to safe mode and uninstall the display driver and reinstall it in normal mode.
To go to safe mode:
From shutdown turn the computer on and then start tapping the F8 key (for most computers F5 for some)
click start when you see My computer (XP) Computer (Vista/Win7) right click and choose Manage Choose device manager Look for display adapter, right click on it and choose Uninstall (Note:Write down the model name of the display adapter before you uninstall so you can easily google a driver download in normal mode)
Once uninstalled restart the computer
If the display comes back go to the internet and then google the model name and add driver download.
Download the driver and install on your computer. (If you have a cd for the VGA driver use it to save you the hassle of searching for it online)
Hope you found this helpful.
Thanks

Monitor says "Out of Range"

This normally happens when display resolution is changed to higher resolution and cannot be compatible/displayed by monitor. Either plug in another monitor and lower down resolution or Press F8 and go to advanced boot option and start your computer in safe mode and try changing display resolution. If it still doesn't works and you have the drivers for you display adapter (video card) then uninstall display adapter from device manager by booting in safe mode. Once you get to normal boot mode reinstall drivers for display adapter.

Getting a No sync message on monitor ,computer

No sync message could be for 2 reasons.

1. Loose VGA cable
2. Wrong driver installed or configuration made is out of monitor range

For loose cable you can fix it up from both ends, on CPU and on Monitor itself.
For second reason, we just have to delete display driver from Device Manager. Follow below method to delete driver

Start computer in safe mode. To start in safe mode, as soon the system boots up press F8 and select Safe Mode. After you log into the safe mode. Right click the "My Computer" icon on desktop, go to properties,
go to "Hardware" tab, Click on "Device Manager", go to "Display driver" and expland it, select the driver below the expanded "Display Driver" and press delete to remove the driver. Now restart the system and it will automatically adjust the display driver for you.

Computer boot up

This looks like a problem with you video card drivers. I had this problem last week! ;o) The screen turned off while in the Windows logo.

You need to boot in safe mode and reinstall the drivers of your video card.

TO BOOT IN SAFE MODE :
Boot your computer and tap F8 every seconds. If you get to a blue "boott selection screen", press ESC, and restart pressing F8 every second. You will get to a black windows selection menu with the arrows. Select the boot in safe mode option and press enter.

ONCE IN SAFE MODE:
In XP, once in safe mode, you PC will boot with minimal settings and default drivers. Go to START, CONTROL PANNEL, SYSTEM, HARDWARE, DEVICE MANAGER. You should see your display adapters in there. If one has a yellow exclamation mark, then you need to re-install the drivers.

TO REINSTALL THE DRIVERS:
You need to find the graphic card CD you had when you purshaed it, or download the drivers on the internet. Go to a friends house, and download them on your manufacterer's website (ie : ASUS, ATI, etc.). You need to know your card's model name for that. It should be in the Device Manager, where you looked earlier (Ex: ASUS MAGIC 128MB)

Once you reinstall the drivers, you should be ok.

Worked for me. It makes sense because the screen turns off when it tries to load the currupted drivers.

I hope it helps.

Good luck!
