Http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/corpo/support/drivers/latest/home.cfm Your video driver seems corrupt. You should try downloading and installing new drivers. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim

My F4180 HP Scanner/Printer is painfully slow to scan. What could be the problem. Didn't use to be like this.

Has the scanning resolution been changed? That is the most common reason why the scan would take a long time to complete. If you're just scanning for the web, set the resolution to 72dpi and see if that speeds it up.

Hope this helps.

Why inkjet printers print slowly in high quality?

The reason they're slower in high quality is, as the sprays of colored ink are shot from fine nozzles through microscopic holes in the print head, more ink is required to complete each row of vertical pixels which are required in higher resolution ( more dots per inch ) photos.
The larger amount of ink must be dispersed at a slower rate causing the motor which controls the print head to move slower hence taking more time to complete a photo.
Lower resolution ( less dots per inch ) photos can be completed more quickly
because less ink is used and it can be dispersed quickly through the print head.

I hope this answers your question.

Life cam has been downloading for more than 2 hours and it s still running again and again, seems it doesnt work properly, thx

There could be several reasons:
1. It depends on how many photos are on the camera to download, such as 200+.
2. If your camera is set to a very high resolution, like 10 or 12, then it will take a long time using USB.
3. If your camera's resolution is set to "Raw", it will take forever to download.

Please answer the following if you need more assistance:
What camera? How many photos to download?
What is the resolution of the photos?
What is the capacity of the memory card?

I will be happy to assist you further.
-Gort.

Toshiba Windows Vista resolution problem

Depending on the version of A100 you have, 1280X800 may be the max resolution for your graphics card. Read the user manual for your specific model to see what the max resolution is, but usually, the video driver will lock out resolutions that your screen cannot handle.
If, for some odd reason, your screen can handle a higher resolution, try updating the video drivers.

Now to answer your other questions;
  • There is no 64 bit color mode; and if there was it would be redundant, as humans can't see that many colors.
  • 60Hz is fine and is probably the best your monitor can do.

Screen sizing

Your problem is that the correct video driver is not installed and therefore cannot use all the video RAM.(the XP version of the video driver won't work with Win98).
When you adjust to True color at a higher resolution it drops to a lower resolution because it has insufficent video RAM, but you will get a higher screen resolution at a 16 bit color because it requires less memory (video RAM).
Install the Win98 driver for the graphics card and then it can use the full video RAM at a higher screen resolution with 32 bit color.

We have a canon MP610 printer scanner combo, I work in a dentist office and am trying to scan a x-ray. When I do it is'nt picking up the detail very well at all. I think I need to adjust the settings but I...

the only way to get a little more detail out of this printer with x-rays is to INCREASE the DPI resolution. there are no other adjustments that are abailable.
The Scan Settings dialog box opens when you click Specify... on the Scan/Import Documents or images screen.
The Scan Settings dialog box allows you to specify advanced settings for scanning.

Document Type
Select the type of document to be scanned. To scan photographs, select either Color Photo or Black and White Photo. To scan text documents, select either Color Document, Black and White Document, or Text(OCR). To scan magazines, select Magazine(Color).
Document Size
Select the size of document to be scanned.
Auto Detect: Detects document size automatically.
Auto Detect(Multiple Documents): Select this when scanning multiple documents at one time.
Select Stitch-assist to scan the left and right halves of a document separately and combine them back into one image.
Reference See the section below for details.
Scanning images Larger than the Platen (Stitch Assist)
When you select Custom, a dialog box in which you can specify the document size opens. Select a Unit, then enter the Width and Height and click OK.

Important When you select Auto Detect the position or size of the image may not be scanned correctly depending on the document. In such a case, specify the document size, such as A4 or Letter according to the document to be scanned, and align a corner of the document with the corner at the arrow of the platen.
When you select Auto Detect(Multiple Documents) allow 3/8 inches (1 cm) or more space between the edges of the platen and the document.
If not, some images may not be scanned at the correct positions and sizes.
You cannot select Auto Detect(Multiple Documents) or Auto Detect when Document Type is Text(OCR).
Scanning Resolution<<<<-------------------------------------------------------------<<<<<<<<<<
Select the resolution at which to scan documents. The following scanning resolution can be specified:
Text(OCR): 300dpi, 400dpi
Others: 75dpi, 100dpi, 150dpi, 200dpi, 300dpi, 400dpi, 600dpi
The higher the resolution (value), the more detail in your image; the lower the resolution (value), the less detail. At high resolution, scanning takes longer and file size becomes larger than usual. See the section below for details on resolution.
this should answer your question , feel free to post here agian if you need more help.
Regards, and thank you for using fixya.

Graphic card problem.

Your graphics card is bad. The reason you don't see it on your bios screen is because it is not displaying in the high resolution high color graphics. Once your card starts displaying high resolution high color, then you get the lines. You need to replace your graphics card.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
