Hi, when you switch it on using remote, ipod station with batteries or mains the power light is red like in standby mode. Ipod charges and power is getting through but there is no sound, can you tell me why the light is red, and how you get it to green as it should be?, thanks

The problem is with the speaker connector to your ipod. I have the same unit. Got to ebay and buy Pyle Home PIDOCK1 or similar docking station. This will solve your problem. You can plug this in and have full functionality back of your speaker. Don't bother trying to fix it these have a real problem with the connector and board buy yourself a docking station with remote for about $15 on ebay and it will fix you up. Plug into the input Jack and you are back in business. You can buy a Pyle Home PIDOCK1 Universal iPod/iPhone Docking Station cheap on ebay and it has a remote. It will fit nicely on your speaker and do everything you need it to do.
Turn the iPod Touch off and then back on again. Here's how: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. If this doesn't help, try to reset the iPod touch while it is connected to power. To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge the device until it is fully charged.
If this Problem has come because you not use a speaker for a long time.I Know How to Repair. In This Morning. I had a Problem Like you but I Can Repair it. Try it you Self.I use a Plug and Play a lot of time. lot of charged. and a lot of on-off switch mm50. I do this for a 12 hour. in my school holiday. Battery is become life! . I Can Portable with It Again. but now is mid night
PS.This is true , I test with myself to Resurrection that Death Battery
I am 100% sure the battery is dead.
Opening my mm50 I find that the small 2"X 1/4" battery is attached to the back, very near the charging socket. The battery is connected to the circuit board through a small plug-socket arrangement - no soldering here like iPod. So, it would not be difficult to replace it by a DIY enthusiast. But it would be difficult to find this non-standard replacement battery. Better leave the job to Logitech service, they'd would certainly replace it on charge basis.
if no light came from the speakers then something is corrupted inside them .. you have to check the power source and power cable of the speakers first ... if everything is fine then the speakers are corrupted from inside
