Make sure the memory card is clean. Turn off your phone, then remove and
clean the memory card with a soft brush, cloth, or cotton buds
moistened with any type of unflavoured, colourless alcohol. Make sure
the connectors are totally dry before you reinsert the memory card.
Hi. before connecting ur sony ericsson mobile to ur computer for transfer of songs and pictures u should first install the sony ericsson software CD. This CD will be provided along with ur purchase of mobile. after installing that software CD u are enabled to transfer pictures to ur computer..
hi there, I dropped my sony in water once and the screen stopped working completely , I had to replace the lcd screen myself in the phone, (which isnt that difficult with a sony ericsson , it damaged the lcd screen but not the rest of the mobile...so this sounds like your software has been corrupted or the memory slot contacts have developed a fault from the damp Try the master reset function (remember this erases any security pin numbers you might have put into the mobile) and see if the problem persists. If your brave enough ? like me ! you could strip the phone down and blow it dry with a hairdryer (set on low temperature), look for gunk on the memory card contacts and clean these off with computer solvent cleaner and a cotton bud. Then update the firmware and the software from sony ericsson's website. But I have a feeling , that the water got inside and this has coated one or more of the contacts for the memory card with the same thing , that you get inside a kettle, literally scale has formed on one of memory card contacts.
clean the connecters on the memory card if this dosent work then blow in the hole to remove any dust that might might be affecting the phone from reading the card. but if that dont work either then take it to a phone shop and see what they say because it might need fixing thats if it can be fixed hope this has helped.
Sounds like a formatting problem. I suggest you back up all the files on it, find yourself a card reader (if you dont already have one), and format the card. Im guessing that this is a card youve brought, and is different to the card that came with the phone? If so, pop the original card in the reader first, and find out what format it is (i.e. FAT). Once thats done, pop the new card in and make sure its in this format. If your phone still doesnt recognise it, you should be covered under the warranty of the memory card, whether it was brought sperately or not - exchange it with them and double check the phone and card ae compatible :) hope that helps - chris
