My Mitsubishi ws-65513 will not turn on. The LED blinks off and on. I tried the unplug/plug route and the reset option. But that green light keeps blinking.

I have the same problem with my WS-65513 with the blinking lights, like so many others I have read about. I finally called repair man. He came out and told me that it was the power supply that needed to be replaced. I told him about what I read from others who had the same problem. But this was his diagnostics. It will cost about $650 in total to fix and they will take the set out to their repair facilities. I have had this set since May 2004. I called one repair service recommended by Mitsubishi and on the phone dianostics they told me it would cost $1000 total. This was to replace the DM board which alone cost $600.
I have the same problem.

I too have Mitsubishi that has the blinking green light. t first it would go off after about an hour or two, now it just wont go off. HELP!! Please. mneumeiste@aol.com

I too have a Mitsubishi WS-65513 and you guessed it, a flashing green light. We have tried to reset it and for three days it has blinked continuously. I am seeing the estimates for the repairs from other people, and I can't believe how pricy it is to correct the problem. I think we must have all purchased our sets at the same time....In 2004! I think we could probably correct the problem ourselves if we knew the correct way to fix it. Please send the solution for this problem to my email address....twirly00@hotmail.com THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

My TV was made in Sep of 2003 and yes the blinking light issue. It used to reset after an hour, now its more like 3 day if it resets at all which is where im at now. Repair men at this time in my life(unemployment hit after 26yrs of steady work) is out of the question. One quoted me 700.00 at a minimum. I need help bigtime. Im a fix-it kind of guy so im willing to give it my best,Thanks

i have a fix for this DM board, if you want it please leave your e-mail addy and I will send it to you. This guide has pictures and tells you how to get to the board and what is the problem with it most of the time. good Luck

What i did to fix the problem, and no i did not throw it off the porch which was my first idea after i received an estimite. There are 4 capcitors on the d board which a believe is the digital board. Its located to the left of the card tray and its the only board in a steel can cover. They need replacement. I bought mine at radioshack and the repair worked for me. I was later told that the radioshack caps will blow out in a few months but i had already installed them. It worked.You have to desoder the old ones out and resolder the new ones in. It cost me about 2 hours time and 5 dollars at radioshack because i needed to buy solder as well. I will try to find the directions someone sent me and post them, also i will try to find the right (cap) part number as i stated before, the radioshack ones are not going to last. You have to use HIGH HEAT cap do to all the heat the tv puts out.

techman - I just had the same problem with my Mitsubishi ws65813. In the past, the green light would stop flashing when I hit the reset button. Mine sounds like I'm about to hit the wall, too.
The LED blinks. I have to wait a couple of minutes for it to stop. I wait a couple more minutes and then I can power up the TV.

Is this the DM too?

Can someone send me the guide?

we must have all bought the TV at the same time and right after the extended warranty has run out could it be a bad batch or just random that so many died around the same time? Mine was manufactured in 2003. My eamil is dave.scott58@cox.net please help. same issue blinking light, cant reset, cant power on!
