    try in cmd prompt:
    netsh winsock reset
if that does nothing you need to check your DNS... Try this OpenDNS:
    208.67.222.222

    208.67.220.220

That might fix it... Are those the only sites blocked? It may be software block like a hidden unwanted software... not a virus or malware but unwanted. Maybe a Browser Hack. It could be a trojan, in which case get trojan hunter (full free trial), but a proxy should get around it no matter what if it is a network block of some sort.

This is a wireless adaptor not a router.

Check out the internet connection by directly wiring into the LAN port of the router to the PC.

You will probably find the fault there and have to consult your ISP.

If it is the adaptor, check you have the correct driver software and the distance between the computer and the router.

What device are you using and what router do you have.

In alot of contries illigal websites are blocked by your internet provider. Or your partents may have added blocking rules. You need more details in your question XD

When I try to connect to a lot of site this sentence appear on the page: You have tried to access a site that has been blocked by the 3Com Router. Please contact your System Administrator to have this...

Seems as though whoever installed your router set it to block those sites. You will have to connect straight to router with data cable and set it up again. What model is it? Try going to web site looking up model and find setup download: http://search.3com.com/search/en_US/query.html?qt=Setup&col=supp

I have a westell versalink 327w wireless router and i need the hard ware to install it where do i get it at.

You do NOT need hardware to install the versalink other than an ethernet cord and the phone cord. By default, you can also use the wireless antenna. The default WEP key and SSID are located on a sticker on the bottom of the DSL gateway.

The ONLY reason to need the software cd is if your ISP has installed a redirect page. There are two ways to disable it- one go through the activation page, or two: in your browser address bar type 192.168.1.1/*insert name of ISP, like verizon*/redirect.htm
It should ask you for the user name and password- by default it is admin and password. You should see a page that has something along the lines of "Select button to disable"- press it, then the modem goes into it's setup pages. No tools necessary. No CD necessary. The only time you NEED the CD is if you are trying to connect via USB- I do not recommend this, since not only is ethernet more reliable, it's faster and does not require an unstable driver added onto your system.

Also, since I suspect you are a Verizon customer (they are the ones that supply the 327w for the majority- Contact Verizon technical support. For the business side it's 888 649 9500, option tech support. They can walk you through setting up your modem as well as send a cd for the modem *if you need to use the modem via USB*

How to unblock facebook?

How to Unlock Facebook Facebook can be unblocked by using proxies. Proxies are nothing but an application which will mask your IP address and override your IP address. In simple terms, it will show as if you are browsing from a different IP address rather from your original IP address.

Proxies are of two types.

1. Web based proxies - You don't need to install anything in your pc. Highly recommended for schools, offices, universities and so on.
2. Desktop Programs - You need to install a small software and you need to have administrator rights to install the software.

Proxies will also bypass firewall applications and website blockers and hence you don't need to worry about any website getting blocked. There are many more applications of proxies and let us restrict it to unblocking Facebook alone. Web Based Proxies and Installable Proxies As mentioned earlier, there are two types of proxies. Web based proxies are the one where you need to visit a proxy website and you can enter the website url (website address) which you want to unblock. This is very easy to use when compared to the desktop proxies and also it is reliable.

The second type of proxies needs to be installed in your PC and they used to cause a lot of troubles. You need to install a software and only then the second type of proxies will work. The performance of these proxies is also poor because it will slow down your browsing drastically and you will be made to wait for 2 to 3 minutes to load a single webpage. You will be asked to install a software which is not possible in many places where Facebook is blocked.

Hence, Web based proxies are the best ones to use in offices, schools, colleges, etc. You don't need to install any software and you are good to go with just the url which you want to unblock, i.e., facebook.com Warning There are many low class web based proxies which may install viruses in your PC without your knowledge and hence you need to choose a secure web proxy. Free Proxies If you want to just do some chatting with friends in Facebook, free proxies are more than enough. You need to be careful with the data they collect. I have collected the list of highly anonymous free private proxies for unlocking Facebook. These are highly secure and no one can find that you used a proxy to unblock facebook.

Click Here to get the list of free anonymous proxies to unlock Facebook Here's my favorite link: Huge List of free proxies to unblock Facebook
Paid Web Proxies If you want to do something secure over internet using proxies, then paid proxies are recommended as they use SSL protocol.

The below website is a premium website and you just need to enter www.facebook.com in the text box. This will skip all the setting in your PC and you can unlock Facebook in just few minutes.

You need to buy their premium membership in order to unlock Facebook safely without leaving any traces for your system administrators Thank u so much hopefully your issue will be resolved if not let me know back Thanks.... With regards Priya

Need to get around or get rid of blocked sites

How to bypass web filters

There are several occasions where you will be at a public te How to bypass web filters
rminal, and require access to a particular website that is blocked for some reason or another. How to bypass these restrictions is a very common question, and will be covered here.

Lets pretend for a moment that the Internet is made up of 26 websites, A-Z. The web filter blocks your browser from accessing sites X-Z, but not sites A-W. Simply make the browser think you’re going to A-
W. There are a variety of ways to do this:

Proxy Servers:
This is a list of http proxies. These sites may not be up forever, so you may need to search for “free http proxy” or “public proxy servers” or other similar terms.

Proxy server lists:
• http://www.tehbox.com/proxy

Now that you have a list of proxies, you would open IE (internet explorer) and click on Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced. Enter the address and port of one of the servers from the list in the proper area (http) and make sure the “use a proxy server for your LAN” option is selected. Remember to replace the proxy and port at your terminal to the original when you're done.

*Note: Some proxies listed may not work, and this method may decrease your surfing speed. By trying various entries, you’ll find one that works, or works faster.

The infamous translation trick:
Go to a web page translation site and use their services to “translate a page to English” thus accessing the blocked page through their trusted site.

You’ll notice that several translation sites are blocked, but by using less popular ones, this method can still be effective. Here is a list of some translation services. Again, these sites may not be up forever, so you may need to search for them.

Url Scripting:

Url scripting is the easiest method. It works on a select few web filters and is based on the same principal as the translation trick. By typing and address like “www.yahoo.com@www.restricted_site.com the filter will not go into effect as it recognizes the trusted site (in this case yahoo.com)

Other tricks:
Simply open the command prompt and type:
Ping restricted.com ? restricted.com obviously being the restricted site
At this point you can take down the IP address (ex. 216.109.124.73) and enter it into the browser. If access to the command prompt is also restricted, see “How to bypass restrictions to get to the command prompt.” If this article has been taken from information leak, then know that it involves anything from opening the browser, selecting view > source, then saving it as X.bat and opening it to opening a folder or browser and typing in the location of cmd.exe depending on the OS. I will not go into further, as this a completely different topic.

Use https://restrictedsite.com as referring to it as a secured site may confuse the filter.

Note: These are ancient methods that many new filters defend against, but still may be applicable in your situation. If not, a little history never hurt anyone.

Web based Proxies:
Another one of the easier, yet effective methods include web based proxies. These are simple in the fact that you just enter the restricted address and surf! Some of these have some restrictions, like daily usage limits, etc but you can also use another proxy (perhaps one that sucks, like a text only) to bypass their restrictions as well. Here is a list of some:

Proxy Programs:
There are many proxy programs that allow you to surf anonymously that are more or less based on the same topics we’ve covered here. I’ve added them just to cover the topic thoroughly:

• http://www.inetprivacy.com/a4proxy/anonymous-grc.htm]http://www.inetprivacy.com/a4proxy/anonymous-grc.htm

• http://www.anonymization.net]http://www.anonymization.net ? toolbar that requires admin rights to install

Making your own CGI proxy server:

Making your own proxy server may come in handy, but I personally find that simply uploading a txt file/w a list of proxies to a free host makes for a much easier and headache free solution. If you don’t know PERL, there is code out there to help you set it up. Check out these sites for more info:

• http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy]http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy
• http://www.manageability.org/blog/stuff/open-source-personal-proxy-servers-written-in-java/view]http://www.manageability.org/blog/stuff/op...en-in-java/view

Admin Access:
When all else fails, you can simply take over the PC and alter or delete the damn filter. This method varies according to the OS (operating system) you are dealing with. Please see “Hacking Windows NT” for more information. If this tutorial has been taken from information leak, then I will go as far as to say it involves booting the PC in another OS, copying the SAM file and cracking it using a program like saminside or LC5 rather than start a whole new topic within one.
let me know if it helps

HOW DO I SETUP WIRELESS ADAPTER MODEL WPC 100 RANGEPLUS

run the software first it will tell you when to install the card into your PCI slot. It is pretty straight forward, follow the directions given.

you'll need a profil (the name of your network...assigned by the software or you choose yourself.
your internet password
your wep/wpa number ...wep is 10 digitd wpa in stronger security but a little harder to work with.
After you have the hardware and software...I recommend you call your ISP like Verizon, Comcast or whatever and let the take over your computer and make the settings chages. They are great at this. And too you are paying for it as part of your service .
Good Fortune...pleas leave a rating...thank you kindly...

Hi

The problem was in the wep key. I entered the old wep key, not recalling that we had to trade our router in for a new one last summer. When I entered the new wep key we were able to get online.
