Question about Olympia OL2400 Cordless Phone

Open Question

LCD Fuzzy The LCD on my cordless phone has broken letters and numbers making it difficult to read if it can be read at all sometimes. I was wondering if this is something that can be fixed or if I should just give up and get a new phone. Thanks

Save a phone number as a VIP number on your Innovage LCD touch panel phone. Press set and save when an important number comes onto your caller identification. This makes it harder to delete the phone number by accident.

No display seen on phone, i hear the other person but no numbers and no letters

I would say there is a problem with the lcd board or the lcd display itself. I would recommend using an external caller id or just replacing the handset.

Motorola cordless phone - can't read the screen any more. I ttok out battery and replaced it , but still the same.

Is the screen a LCD? These screens are difficult to read and only by changing the viewing angle makes it visible. If the screen has completely become black or all the numbers look like 8's? Since you've already replaced the batteries, eliminating all electrical malfunction my instinct is of the leakage of liquid in LCD screens( remember the old calculators, and how it responded if the screen was pressed hard). In that case the entire display screen will have to be changed. If it isn't cost-effective, I guess instead of attempting repair--------- get a new phone.........sodeep

The letters and numbers on the lcd screen are

I fixed my phone's LCD issues following the steps detailed in this guide:

It makes sense when you think about it. Over time heat, falls, ect can cause the lcd cable's connection to degrade. This will cause artifacts and other issues with your display. I will admit the guide is a little scary looking for the non-tinkering types. But, it was not that hard to do and if the phone has a high price tag and no warranty service left it could be worth a shot.

Good luck!
