How do i hookup a sanyo vhr h607 to my television

Unless the VCR has a digital tuner the only way to record off the TV will be to connect it by a scart socket and cable. However to record you would have to watch the TV show you are recording. An alternative is to get a set top box, which are fairly cheap and connect that to the VCR. Some VCR's have two scart sockets one for the TV and a spare one. You can connect the box via the spare one. When setting the recording you will have to select AV2. If the VCR has only one scart socket you might need a scart switching box.

I dont know where the record safety tab is

It's on the back edge of any VHS video tape, it looks like a square piece of plastic which is only attached at one side. Break it off and the VCR can't record on the tape. Cover the hole with sticky tape to record again. If your looking for the tab inside the machine just see where the loaded video lands. Most video tapes with it removed will go into automatic play when there's no tab. Also the VCR will eject the tape if any attemp is made to record on a protected tape.

My sanyo vcr won't record, but can play.

Hello nrj9,

When you upgraded your cable box you changed the dynamics of your system. Try this.

Connect the coax from the wall to your cable box, then connect the HDMI cable (if you have this) from your cable box to your TV and the component video out connection from the cable box to your component video input of the VCR and then your VCR component video out to your TV's component video in.

What this will allow you to do is:

Using the TV chose between the VCR and the cable box for video,
using the VCR record from the cable box.

There are other configurations, but this one is the best for what I think you want to do.

I hope this helps

Thank you,

Getting a dvd player to record vhs to dvd

The RF converter takes the Red/White/Yellow as INPUTS and converts them to either channel 3 or 4. You need to go the other way. You need a tuner or another VCR to convert from RF (channel 3 or 4) to a standard AV signal (Red/White/Yel).

VHS Tape on Sanyo Doesn't play on other VCR's

the heads on the sanyo vcr may slightly be out of alignment from years of use.when playing a recorded tape from this vcr to another, the other vcr's alignment maybe right on track thus causing the poor quality.you can possibly try cleaning the heads with a head cleaner or a high grade blank tape, but i don't think this will solve the problem. but you can try.
good luck
wg
p.s also try higher quality tapes to record on.
