Are you using the correct driver for your video card? Sounds like you aren't. The built-in menus don't require a video card, but all Windows display do. I suggest you update the video drivers--this is for your computer video card, not the monitor.

I have a attention input not supported recanagle that continually scrolls around and around my screen and i cannot acces the menu or do anything. I disconnected it from my modem and then from the monitor...

Hello,
This is most likely because your computer is trying to display a screen resolution higher then tht monitor can support. Turn your PC on, and press F8 until you see a black and white menu. Select safe mode. Run safe mode and when windows loads, goto your control panel. Select Display and navigate to the resolution / settings tab. The screen resolution should be set to 1440 x 900 for this monitor to display video correctly.
If you need more detailed information on where to find the display resolution settings in windows I will need the name of the OS you are running... XP, Vista, Win 7 etc..
Regards, Chris

No display with windows xp home radeon x1600 display

find the "CRT/LCD" on one of your F# keys, for example mine is F8. When u locate it, Hold Fn(function) and the F# until the display shows up on your monitor. If that fails you may have to select multiple monitors in Control Panel. Goto Control Panel/Display/Settings -Under the display there should be a drop down box, select it and choose Multiple Monitors. If its not there you'll need to download some drivers for your SPECIFIC video card.

I changed the screen resolution from 1024 768. while booting the monitor goes to power saver mode and displays "Out of Range 53.7KHZ to 60Hz. My OS is Win XP sp 3,

If the monitor is able to display the video after the computer boots, it may be something that you will have to live with.

But, you may be able to specify a different refresh rate based on the ability of your video card. Right click on the desktop, choose properties, then settings, and advanced button. On the new window, click on Adapter, then click on the Display All Modes button. The default for 1024x768 resolution is 60Hz, but your video card may offer another frequency which may be compatible with the monitor.

If you are unable to see anything after the computer boots, restart in safemode, then make the changes.

Is this an older monitor? 1024x768 is an industry default mode / setting. I am surprised that the monitor doesn't like it.

BRAND NEW MONITOR OUT OF THE BOX? DRIVER WILL NOT LOAD. DRIVER WONT LOAD FOR HP W2007 WIDE LCD MONITOR (32 BIT) HAVE DISK. (STILL WILL NOT LOAD)

This monitor doesn't need a driver installed. If you can see an image on it, you don't need the driver for it. Windows will install the default monitor driver, and that works for 99.99% of monitors on the market. You need to go into the Display control panel and change your resolution. If the monitor's native resolution isn't available as an option in the control panel, it's because your video card can't display it, not the monitor's fault.

No display under 1024x768

I have the same problem with 800x600. I've found that by setting the refresh rate to 56 Hz, I can get the games to play. For instance Age-Of-Empires II only works with this method. My old monitor worked fine, and this works at 1280x1024.

Need to reset Monitor resolution before XP is loaded

Start the computer in safemode by pressing F8 as soon as you turn it on. Hold the F8 key down until the screen offering you the choice of safemode. (If it starts to chatter while you're holding it down, let up for a sec and then press again). While in safemode, go to Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Device Manager. Delete your video drive from the Device Manager. Restart the computer and it should find the video card and be fine.

All of the software drivers for your machine can be found by using Dell's support page.

Here's a direct link.

A lot of experts here will just give you a direct link to the file you're looking for. Although this is great for an end user since all you've got to do is click the link, it's not going to help you long term.

What I purpose is you learn how to find software drivers yourself.

This will decrease the need to relay on others for help and will ultimately make your experience with computers much more pleasurable.

If you're still having trouble just reply to this thread and I will respond immediately.

Also please don't forget to rate my solution FixYa, it helps me, help you.

Thanks!

No Signal when desktop wants to load

It does not hate that monitor. I believe the problem is in the settings on your video. Your monitor cannot display them. You will most likely need to start your computer in safe mode and change the display settings on your video card or, alternatively, download updated video drivers. Also, if you can't get Windows to start in normal or safe mode, one of the options you get when you press F8 on startup is to start in VGA mode. That will get you in so you can tweak your settings, which are probably set to a resolution too high for your monitor.
