Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Click start click on computer the on your cruzer to open then
Either double click on the file to open or right click on it select open but you should have the specific program that was used to make the file installed on your computer.
EG: adobe word mp3 or zip file

Trying to put 6.56GB movie on my 8GB sandisk cruzer contour, says the file is too large for the destination file

The file system is likely the culprit for this. If you've formatted the USB stick with FAT32, the largest SINGLE file will be about 4GB. You can place as many smaller files as you want to fill the stick completely (in excess of 4GB), but once you approach 4GB for a single file - it will crash.

Format with NTFS instead. No 4GB limit is placed on files in this file system. A nice chart listing the differences between file systems can be found here. The forth row "Max File Size" shows the data you're asking about. NTFS supports 16TB (terrabytes are 1000 times larger than gigabytes) while FAT32 is limited to a "paltry" 4GB. Both FAT32 and NTFS are supported by Windows XP and newer OSes.

I hope this helps - please rate my reply - thanks!

My SanDisk Cruzer Gator 4GB is not working. When

The filesystem appears to be corrupted. Try right-clicking the drive's icon, going to Properties, Tools and Check Disk. If that doesn't help the partition that holds the data may be unreadable, and if that happens try asking a data recovery service if the data is important.

Deleted a folder containing files by mistake on my 4GB Sandisk Cr

Yes, one good way to recover deleted folders and files from Sandisk Cruzer is to use a Sandisk data recovery software. See this step by step guide

I can't get my cruzer to open or it open but my files are missing

Try using GetDataBack for FAT software.
If this doesn't work try so see if in hex the sectors are numberred. If you will see a complete line of 0, then you won't be able to recover any data from the device. I'm saying from an experience because I lost all the data from a cruzer titanum just a few days ago

How do i save something to my 4GB cruzer HARD DRIVE

Assuming you have the drive hooked up to your PC, you should be able to open the drive using My Computer. You can simply open the folder and drag and drop any files you wish to save onto your SanDisk drive.

Since you say you have tried on several computers, i am afraid to say your USB is dead, if you have warranty you should take it to the shop you bought it from.

Sandisk cruzer thumb drive

This just means it is trying to recognize the device. All you need to do is allow it to recogniz the device and find the proper drivers. You can put files in here by going into my computer and double clicking the mass storage device. Files can be draged or copied in here, then taken anywhere you need to go.
