Question about Canon MultiPASS MP730 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Hi. ive got a dilema, my printer has decided that my refilled, full bci3e black is empty, and refuses to print, now, there is no electronics attached to this cartridge style, the light refraction prism inside the ink reservoir is totally submerged (cartridge is full) and im smacking my forehead against a brick wall because after 2 years of refilling, its decided to play nasty, works fine with a brand new cartridge installed, this is this refills first refill.
any thoughts greatly appreciated
This is a very common issue with refilled ink cartridges. The fact is that you have a MP730. The cartridges have an eprom chip loaded into the cartridge which blows once the cartridge is empty. Refilling it as a general rule does not work. The best and only solution to your problem is to pop out to your stationery supplier and purchase a genuine canon cartridge.
As a side not, the ink inside the cartridge is covered by a patent held by canon. it means that no other supplier can use this particular grade of ink. The use on non genuine ink will destroy your printhead and make future use of your unit much less than its normal life expectancy.
