Poor radio reception with Jensen VM9512 in 2001 Nissan Altima

If you used the 2 plug nissan radio harness, there should be a blue wire on there which is the (power antenna) even if your car doesn't have a power antenna, this wire needs to be connect to power on the am/fm amplified ant which is used in many nissan cars.

if the jensen has a blue or a blue/white wire, connect it to one of those. if not, you can always connect it to the red ACC wire. that should solve your reception problem..

hope this helps

Jensen vm9311 motorized screen wont close

no it's not your battery it is in the screen itself , the motorization is broken or damaged . You will need to get that repaired by either taking it to a repair shop in your local area that services jensen products or send it back to the company. If you choose to send it back to the company you will need to contact them first to get a return authorization number .

Bad disk

Wow! That's a first. I used to sell both the Jensen AND Phase Linear versions and never a problem. It sounds like a bad unit. You say it plays NOTHING? No CD's OR DVD's that are the factor made?
The only thing I hav up my sleeve is to do a reset on the unit. If it has a button (I don't think it does frm what I remember) use it first, then with the unit ON, unplug the poer plug, wait a few, then plug back in and see.

Sorry I have no more tricks foir that,

Jensen VM9311/ UV7i wont turn on!!?

Yo, I've got the perfect solution to your problem. Pull out the head unit from your dash. Then, remove the wiring harness carefully from the unit. Now, push in the yellow power wire (even jiggle it a little) making sure it's tightly snug the small port of the wiring harness. Then, plug the harness back into the unit and try turning it on. I've found that the wires come lose easily on this unit. hit me back up at Darkintel74@aol.com.

UV7i Jensen Audiovox In Dash DVD

Run a Lens cleaner kit on it. That is one of those Discs with a coth like material that can be lightly soaked with a cleaning fluid. You can get them at WalMart or Game Stop

Jensen uv8 wiring issues

Hi,

The wires you posted need not go anywhere not unless you have a device that will attached to them.
antenna power - connects to the motor of a telescopic external car antenna. When you power on the unit, it will automatically raise the antenna;
amp power - connects to an add-on/external amplifier. This switches/triggers the amp to gon when the Jensen is powered up;
reverse - attaches to the reverse light of your vehicle. This will tell your unit that you are reversing and will activate a rear view camera.

As earlier stated, if you do not have any use of these devices then there is no need to connect the above described wires to anything. Connecting them to the ground would have a bad effect on the internal circuitry of the Jensen since they are meant to supply power and therefore are connected to the B+supply when the Jensen is powered except for the reverse which would sense a 12V from the vehicle's transmission. Connecting them to the constant B+12 would have no ill effect except that your Jensen would always be on.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

good luck and kind regards.
